herb + ale shampoo bar

This is a bar of cold-process soap formulated for hair and NOT like most shampoo bars on the market!

PLEASE READ FIRST:  Almost all Shampoo Bars on the market are synthetic detergent bars and not at all a soap product.  They do work well - even in Alberta's hard water - but the main ingredient is usually Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate (SCI), Sodium Coco Sulfate and/or Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate as well as added synthetic chelators. This bar has none of that stuff and none of my products ever will!  The lather from this soap is created from Hemp Seed Oil, Coconut Oil, Castor Oil and GF Ale!

Oils are infused with hair-strengthening nettle, rosemary and horsetail so much so that they provide the green colour of this bar.  It's scented with a blend of hair-loving Rosemary, Lavender, Thyme, Cedarwood and Tree Tree Essential Oils.

This soap is loaded with all-kinds of benefits for hair ... BUT, the caveat is that if you're new to cold-process soap-based shampoo bars, rinsing very thoroughly - preferably with distilled water and apple cider vinegar - will reduce any lingering residue.

You can make your own rinse of one part apple cider vinegar to 8 parts distilled water or check out our herb + vinegar hair rinse concentrate!

I'll admit, it took me a while to fully commit to switching to this type of hair washing.  Life is busy and commercial shampoo is quick and easy - even though it was stripping my hair and then replacing my natural oils with synthetics causing breakage, split ends an itchy scalp!  I'm almost 52 and this shampoo bar has made an amazing difference in the health and strength of my hair.  It's definitely a commitment to switch as the transition period was very real for me and now I can rinse with tap water using the vinegar rinse occasionally to boost the shine!

The awesome ingredients are:  Saponified Coconut Oil, Avocado Oil, Olive Oil, Castor Oil, Hemp Seed Oil, Gluten-Free Lager, Cocoa Butter, Jojoba Oil; Rosemary, Lavender, Tea Tree, Thyme & Cedarwood Essential Oils, Nettle, Horsetail and Rosemary herbs
