Mike + Jenn Craft Soap

Welcome!  And thank you for visiting our little online soap shop!  We're so glad you're here!

Our story is actually a love story.  Mike & I were brought together about five years ago.  At the time I had discovered soap making and it was quickly becoming a passion!  I'm a Celiac and so reading label ingredients on everything is important for my health.  They say we absorb about 60% of everything we put on our bodies so what we apply topically is just as important as what we eat!  

Both Mike & I were born in the Vancouver area in 1970 and grew up with great appreciation for the natural world.  Paths were undoubtedly and unknowingly crossed dozens of times but we never met.  Fast-forward forty-seven years and 1200 kilometres away to the Greater Edmonton area.  Children had grown, former spouses had grown apart and we had found each other and started to grow together.

I'm the owner, chief soap maker and bowl washer around here and I'm loving every minute of it!  Starting this little company has been a dream for a while now and there's no doubt in my mind that it wouldn't have been possible without Mike's unwavering love and support!  And curing rack building skills!  And help with the piles and piles of dishes!  You'd be amazed at how many dirty dishes are created making soap! 

I went through MANY company names before deciding on the obvious!  We're called "Mike & Jenn's Craft Soap" because Mike ALWAYS puts me first and so this was my way of returning the favour and making sure that he knows just how crucial he is to this little operation!
