Patchouli Soap
Patchouli has gone through the roof in recent years and is now considered a luxury essential oil! No one in their right mind would make a straight Patchouli soap as the essential oil cost is about 5x that of typical essential oils used in soap. That said, we've added this one as, at EVERY SINGLE MARKET, folks ask for it. Last summer, I finally posed the question .... if I make, will you pay more for it? It was a resounding YES from the crowd on that Saturday. So here we are :)
NEW to the Permanent Collection and, no, the price is not a typo :)
This soap is properly cured for a minimum of six weeks, spaced out on breathable untreated pine racks in a dedicated curing room kept at a humidity level below 40%. This ensures that the soap is hard, very long-lasting and extra mild on the skin.
Our BASE soap recipe contains almost 20% luxury butters. Most of that comes from natural fair-trade handcrafted cocoa butter and shea butter which support women and children living in Northern Ghanian villages. Sustainable kokum butter from India makes up the remainder.
Enriching the soothing capabilities of this soap is several ounces of house-handmade gluten-free oat milk. Triple strained for all the luxury, none of the scratch :)
The base colour is from MINERAL-RICH Rhassoul Clay from Morocco's Atlas Mountains with the black courtesy of Activated Bamboo Charcoal and NEVER from micas.
OUR SOAPS ARE NOW OFFERED IN THE BUFF! Be sure to read the ingredient list carefully for any allergens before ordering any naked soaps :)
Over 4.3 ounces of luxurious, lathery soapy goodness!
